Drive south across the Athi Plains home of the Maasai tribe,
via the trading town of Namanga near the Tanzanian border, arriving
in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive is provided. Rhino, lion
and giraffe may be seen, with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background.

Day 2:
A morning game drive before breakfast is the best time to see
the snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro. After breakfast return to Nairobi
arriving around lunchtime. (B)

Drive through picturesque Kikuyu country. Lunch at Aberdare Country
Club and Outspan Hotel for visitors to The Ark and Treetops respectively.
After lunch transfer to Tree Hotels, built on stilts on the Aberdare
slopes, from where you can watch animals at the floodlit watering
hole and saltlick. Dinner and overnight at Ark,

Day 2:
After breakfast the tour returns to Nairobi, arriving around

Drive via the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara, famous for its black-manned
lion, and which forms the northern part of the Serengeti National
Park in Tanzania. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive. Dinner

Game viewing before and after breakfast. After lunch depart for

Day 1: Early arrival into Nairobi, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Norfolk, Nairobi Safari Club or The Stanley Hotel for breakfast and after breakfast proceed north through sisal, coffee and pineapple plantations for lunch at Aberdare. After lunch you will be transferred to a Tree-Hotel set high on stilts overlooking waterholes and a salt lick, from where you can observe a procession of animals drinking at the floodlit water hole. Dinner and overnight at the Ark, Serena Mt. Lodge or Treetops. (B) (L) (D)
Day 2: After breakfast drive further north across the equator into Samburu game reserve, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch afternoon game drive will be provided where all the big game may be seen, as well as species of unique to Samburu such as Gerenuk, the distinctively stripped Grevy’s Zebra, reticulated giraffe and many species of birds. Day 6: An early morning wake up to prepare for your balloon safari. After a cup of tea, you lift off for approximately one hour, during which you will enjoy an aerial bird’s view of the majestic beauty of the Maasai Mara and it’s abundant wildlife, then land to a leisurely delicious champagne breakfast. After receiving your flight certificate, you will be driven back to your Camp or Lodge, with a short game drive en route. After lunch enjoy another game drive in the afternoon.
